About these terms
These terms apply to anyone who books a cleaning service with Da Kine Cleaning Service, a family-run cleaning company founded in 2024 and based in Sherman Oaks, California. By requesting an estimate, scheduling a visit, or accepting service, you agree to the terms below.
1. Estimates
Estimates are based on the home or office details you share with us — size, number of rooms, condition, and the type of cleaning requested. They're a good-faith estimate, not a binding quote. If we arrive and the actual scope is different (significantly larger home, much more work than described, additional add-ons), we'll talk it through with you on-site before continuing.
Estimates are valid for 30 days from the date provided unless we say otherwise.
2. Scheduling
Once you accept an estimate, we'll lock in a date and time window. We don't ghost — if our team is running late or needs to reschedule, we'll text or call.
For recurring service, we'll set a regular cadence (weekly, bi-weekly, monthly). Scheduling specifics are confirmed at booking.
3. Cancellations & rescheduling
Cancellation and rescheduling specifics are confirmed at booking. Reach out as early as possible if your schedule changes.
Late cancellations or "we're not home, please come back" situations may carry a fee that covers our team's reserved time. Any fee is communicated upfront when you book.
We may need to cancel or reschedule on short notice if our team is sick or facing an emergency. We'll let you know as soon as possible.
4. Access to your property
To clean your home or office, we need a way in — a key, a code, building access, or someone present. You decide how access works. We treat keys and codes confidentially and never share them with anyone outside our team.
If we arrive and can't get in (no answer, no code, locked out), we may charge a lockout fee for the wasted trip.
5. What we clean
Our scope is set by the service you book. We currently offer:
- Standard Cleaning (recurring or one-time)
- Deep Cleaning
- Move In / Move Out Cleaning
- Vacation Rental Turnover
- Commercial Office Cleaning
- Custom Plan (mix-and-match)
Our service area is Sherman Oaks, the San Fernando Valley, and Edwards AFB-area communities. Each service page on this site lists what's included and what isn't. If you want something done that isn't on the list, ask us — we'll usually accommodate or tell you honestly that it's outside what we do.
6. What we don't do
To set expectations clearly, we do not handle:
- Emergency or biohazard cleanup — including blood, bodily fluids, hoarding situations, mold remediation, sewage, or crime scenes. These require specialized companies with proper certifications and equipment.
- Heavy hauling or junk removal — we're not a moving or disposal service.
- Repairs, painting, or maintenance — we clean; we don't fix.
- Carpet shampooing or steam-cleaning of upholstery — we vacuum but don't deep-clean carpets or fabrics. We can refer you to specialists for this.
- Outdoor cleaning, power washing, gutters, garages, or window exteriors — not part of our service.
- Pest control or chemical treatments — not our specialty.
7. Damage & missing items
Our team takes care with your home, but accidents can happen. If we damage something during a cleaning, let us know as soon as you notice it and we'll work with you in good faith to make it right.
We are not responsible for items that were already damaged or for normal wear and tear. We're also not responsible for items of unusual value (jewelry, cash, art) left in plain sight — please secure those.
8. Payment
Payment is due at the time of service unless we've agreed to a different arrangement (for example, monthly invoicing for ongoing commercial accounts). We accept the payment methods listed when you book.
9. Communication
By contacting us, you agree we may follow up about your cleaning request via the phone number, email, or method you provided. You can ask us to stop contacting you at any time.
10. Privacy
How we handle the information you share with us is described in our Privacy Policy. By booking service, you also agree to that policy.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any dispute arising from these terms or the services we provide will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms over time as our business grows. Material changes will be reflected here, with the "Last updated" date refreshed.
